Description

Blue Victorian Ladysculptural collage8" x 10" x 1"weight:In this Hacker Creation disassembled computer parts are arranged over a collage of greens, gold and blues. Intricate and unusual objects frame a black and white photo of a beautiful Victorian woman*. The contrast between the portrait and the computer parts is striking yet if one looks closely you see beautiful details in the parts. Parallel lines appear on various different parts. An illusion is created by the overlapping lines on the plastic touchscreen sheets. Stripes appear on a metallic blue heat sink and on the clear plastic part at the top. The delicate rectangular cut out edges and gold tracer lines on the blue circuit board recall the decorative opulence of the early 20th century. All these elements are brought together to transform E-waste into an elegant piece of home decor.*Lina Cavalieri (1874 –1944) Italian operatic soprano and actress. She became one of the most photographed stars of her time. Frequently referred to as the "world's most beautiful woman". In 1955, Gina Lollobrigida portrayed Cavalieri in the film "Beautiful But Dangerous".Combing 3D computer parts with 2D color and pattern, e-waste is transformed and given new life.
